Srinagar, Jan 07 (KNO): Amid heavy snowfall, the University of Kashmir (KU) on Thursday postponed LLM 2nd semester and all UG exams scheduled on January 8 and 9 respectively. Besides, the Sher-I-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS) Soura also rescheduled the written examination for the Supervisor Technical post. According to the KU order, a copy of which lies with the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) reads that the establishment has postponed LLM 2nd semester examination which was scheduled to be held on January 8- 2021 in view of heavy snowfall in Kashmir. “The examination of the postponed papers LM17216DCE and LM17217DCE shall now be held on January-14-2021 and the time and venue shall remain unchanged,” Head and Dean School of Law department, Prof M Ayoub said. Meanwhile, the varsity also postponed all Undergraduate (UG) examinations that were scheduled to be held on January-08 and 09. In this regard, KU’s Controller of Examinations, Irshad-A -Nawchoo said that Undergraduate 2nd year scheduled on January-08 and UG 6th Semester examination scheduled on January-09 2021 are postponed in view of heavy snowfall. “Fresh dates for the deferred examinations will be notified later on,” Nawchoo said. The SKIMS officials also said that in view of heavy snowfall, the written examination for the post of Supervisor Technical which was tentatively scheduled to be held on 09-01-2021 is hereby rescheduled and shall be conducted on 14-01-2021—(KNO)
